INICIO (UNO)

During the summer of 2020, La Aceitera hosted various residencies for the creation of "Inicio (Uno)," a piece based on the touch of the master Rafael Riqueni and how the sound of his guitar affects Rocío Molina in an intimate, poetic, tender, and surreal dialogue.

"I have been trying for a long time to pause the movement to reach a natural depth. With Riqueni, my dance regains its nature; it's like taking a journey back, as if I were hearing the music for the first time, and my body language emerges effortlessly and uncomplicated."

Touch and dance come together as a whole that has not yet been divided, as if the music played by the master's hands is born from the dancer's body.
