FLORENCIA OZ & ISIDORA O’RYAN. “EN ESTE DÍA, EN ESTE MUNDO”

The sisters Florencia Oz and Isidora O'Ryan, presented at La Aceitera the show of the new creation ‘En este día, en este mundo’, the first project selected in the II Convocatoria de Residencias de Creación de la Aceitera, in collaboration with the Ayuntamiento de Bollullos, created by two artists who stand out for their freshness, vitality, liveliness and commitment to Dance and Flamenco.

‘En Este día, en Este Mundo’ is a show inspired by the myth of two twins, born united by their hair and forced by their people to separate or fulfil the condemnation of sacrifice. Vital issues such as death, a community's fear of difference, loneliness as destiny, farewells and deep love as conviction, accompany the journey of a last day lived as a pair. They prefer to be sacrificed rather than break the bond that unites them. How would we live our last day in this world? What last words would we say to each other? And what would the wind say to us, the path of the sun? What our last song? What our last dance?
