FLAMANTE. DEREK VAN DEN BULCKE & CARMEN MUÑOZ

Y La Aceitera kicked off 2023 in an explosive and incombustible way with: F L A M A N T E, a project of musical research and sound experimentation around flamenco, performed by the artist Derek Van Den Bulcke, with the dance accompaniment of Carmen Muñoz from Granada.

Through live experimentation, a musical analysis and a re-reading of the usual folkloric practices is carried out, exploring in depth the free flamenco songs. Carmen will add a layer of dance and action through the exploration of the bodies of the dancers Carmen Mora, Manuela Vargas and La Chana, from her project Bailes de Histéricas.

Body and sound will cross the space with a unique performance, in which improvisation, ritual and experience take precedence.
